What is power cable?
Power cable is used to transmit and distribute high power electric energy in the trunk line of power system.It includes 1-500kV and above all voltage levels, all kinds of insulation power cables.
What is the power system?
Using different types of wires and cables with different voltage levels to connect power stations, substations, distribution stations and power consumption units, a power transmission and distribution network is formed, that is a power system.
Classification of power cables
a) Low voltage power cables (below 1kv)
Used in many industrial applications, including infrastructure and industrial projects, simply to transmit power from distribution stations to power-using units.
b) Medium voltage power cables (1kV to 36kV)
Typically this cable is used for power distribution applications and simply transmits power from a power station to a substation or distribution unit.
c) High voltage power cable (36kv and above)
Usually this cable is used for high-power power transmission, which simply means transmitting power from a large power plant to a local substation.
What is a "conductor"?
